About Us

Stirtloe Enterprises was founded by Robert
Bruce and is named after the family
estate in Cambridgeshire. Through close
family associations in Argentina, Stirtloe adventure
treks was established to promote the activities
of Prof. Ousa and his centre of excellence for
outdoor recreation in Barreal, Argentina.

The Staff

Our fully qualified andean mountaineer trek
leader is a PE instructor called Prof. Osa .
He is a very keen andean and is always doing
expeditions. Prof. Osa and his family (his father,
son and daughter) originate from Barreal and
have carried on the tradition of adventure sports,
building up an international centre for outdoor
education which is well renowned. Prof. Osa is
qualified in many aspects of outdoor sports and
keeps himself busy all year round leading
different activities. Each trek is accompanied by
a fully qualified doctor and at least two members
of staff with basic paramedic training. The doctor
has radio controlled communication with base
camp at all times during the trek in case of
emergency. Each trek also has:

- a cook
- staff who look after the pack mules
- radio operator (which is often Prof. Osa's son!)
